“You are useless!” It was then that the Goddess whirled around to face the woman, towering over her easily with her hands fisted at her sides. “A mortal fighting in a Gods war… All it would take is for someone to look at you the wrong way, and you will crumble. You are weak, you are useless here. There is no need for you to be in an Asgardian war. You’ve no purpose in this realm.”
you know nothing of me. -she swallowed- weren’t you useless once? people believed if you were looked at the wrong way you would crumble and you were weak? -raising her head slightly- mortal is a word. it does not define the abilities I can take on
“Incorrect.” Sif hissed out, walking closer to the woman, “Mortal is a lifespan. And as for your question, no. I was never useless. When I couldn’t fight, I was still a Goddess. Thor only brought you here to be protected. “
Breathing deeply a moment, the woman pushed past Jane to walk to the door, “Find someone else. I’m sure Fandral would be willing.”
A chance to control a Goddess and no one takes advantage…

“I’d forgotten how spineless you all are…”

“Woman to woman, I owe you nothing.” Her words came as a near snarl, and she kept her gaze away from the mortal. “I had something to fight for. You’ve no reason to learn to fight other than proving that there’s a reason beyond Thor’s wandering affections for you being here.”
No.. -shook her head- I want to help.. I don’t want to stand around and be useless like some child.. -frowned alittle- I want to help protect.. -nodded alittle- Thor would never help me, but you can.

There was a slightly louder ‘clank’ as the stone hit the sword, Sif going very, very still for a long moment. Finally, she set the stone aside and pushed herself to stand. “No.”
no..no? -she swallowed slightly looking at her- Sif please -frowned alittle- you had to work to get where you are.. people looked down at you because you were a woman.. woman to woman.. help one out?

Sif barely glanced up when she heard the light footsteps enter. There was no question in her mind as to whom it could be— no one in Asgard besides her weighed so little, none could walk so hesitant. “Lady Jane, either enter or do not, but none of this sneaking about. I was raised with Loki, you’re hardly as stealthy as he.” Despite harsh words, her tone was light as she ran the sharpening stone along her blade.
